Professor
Gloria Pastorino

School of Humanities, Fairleigh Dickinson University

Professor Pastorino teaches Italian, French, English, and World Literature at Fairleigh Dickinson University, with a special focus on theatre and film. She holds a PhD in Comparative Literature from Harvard University (2002), an MA from The University of New Mexico (Albuquerque, 1994), a Laurea (BA+MA) from I.U.L.M. (Istituto Universitario di Lingue Moderne, Milan, 1992).

After being Lecturer at Harvard and Boston Conservatory, she become Visiting Assistant Professor at the University of Connecticut (2006), and then joined FDU (Fairleigh Dickinson University), where she became Associate Professor in 2012 and Full Professor in 2017.

​

Professor Pastorino is also a professional translator, fluent in English, Italian, French, and Spanish, with a background in Classical Studies and Languages (Latin and Greek). 

​

She has collaborated with the A.R.T. (American Repertory Theatre) in Cambridge in various capacities over the years spent at Harvard.
